Room Decor

Several people made comments about interior design or something similar when they looked at this. I'm pretty sure I will place it in my room. This was just a quick piece using leftover colors from another work I did. The word on the right is 'beauty' and the two panels have some flower plant thing... The craftsmanship is somewhat lacking but I like the colors in this one. Let me know your thoughts :]

Time Mobile

This is three pics different angels of the mobile I created a while back. I began with just one column of clocks, and then I painted the back of the cardboard pieces with color. Liking the idea, Brandt inspired me to go with it and create two more columns with colors. The cardboard pieces are yellow on one side with a time theme, and the other sides are painted each a different color with swirls. They're attached by copper wire to a board that hangs.

Copper on Canvas

This is my unfinished piece I started with acrylic and canvas. The deep blue in the background inspired me to add metallic colors, which I used in the tree leaves [but you can barely tell because of the horrible picture quality...] and in the copper wires on top. A finished project picture is coming soon!

Friday, October 31

This is my spin on Baroque style painting..err in this case, oil pastels. It's a bench in the park divided into three compositions. Lemme know your ideas!

Shutter

This is my foreshortening piece, done in acrylics after I drew from a photo I took of myself on a mirror. I don't think the background is quite yet, complete, let me know if you have any cool ideas for it. :]

Palette

This is a peice I came up with on my own, using paint chips from my dried up palette. At first I just glued them onto the paper, but at this point it still didn't have any good points of interest... So then I added in my paintbrushes and palette in the background, and now I feel it's close to being done. Let me know if theres something else I could work on x]

Purple

This is my precisionism peice done from a picture I took at RHHS. It's a view of D and E buildings from underneath the awnings. I don't think this is quite complete yet, i'm considering going through and adding some extra textures to give it more interest, so far it's pretty bland despite my off color scheme. Ideas appreciated!
